Charlie Johnson

Charlie Johnson completed his first ever sponsored event, undertaking the Dundee Kiltwalk to help raise funds for the Ninewells Cancer Campaign in memory of his beloved grandfather. Known by many of his friends and family as “ Super Don”, Charlie’s grandfather was an extremely popular and well-loved member of his local community. Charlie was keen to do something meaningful in his memory but had never done any fundraising before. Helped by his mother, Linda, Charlie set up a Just Giving page and soon was overwhelmed by the response. Rapidly pledges came in and by the time of the walk he had raised a fantastic £1500. Charlie was also the first person to wear the brand new Ninewells Cancer Campaign T-shirt for the walk.  “I honestly had no idea so many people would support this” he said after the 23 mile walk. “I’m a bit sore but it was totally worth it.”
