Ernie Boath
I am a Solicitor and Partner in the Private Client Department of Miller Hendry Solicitors working out of their Dundee office. I advise clients on Wills, Powers of Attorney, Intervention and Guardianship Orders, Inheritance Planning and Executries.
I have been appointed Guardian for a number of incapable adults and administer several Private and Charitable Trusts. I am Secretary of the Angus Committee of Tayside Valuation Appeals Panel and was appointed a part-time occasional Sheriff Clerk in Forfar.
After graduating from the University of Dundee with a degree in Law in 1989 and a Diploma in Legal Practice in 1990 I have since returned to teach on the Private Client course as part of the University’s Post Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
I have lived in Angus since childhood and worked in Tayside throughout my career. I first became aware of the remarkable work being carried out by the Ninewells Cancer Campaign funded Jacquie Wood Centre having been invited to visit it with a group of local solicitors and was delighted to be asked to join the committee of the NCC by its chairman, Prof Bob Steele in 2019.
