  • Tartan Sunday for Cancer

    Following a recent diagnosis of prostate cancer, Neil Thomson, suported by friends from St Andrew's Curch in Arbroath, held a sponsored Tartan Sunday to raise funds for Maggie's Centre, Dundee and the Ninewells Cancer Camapign. Neil and friends recently presented Lady Fiona Fraser with a cheque for £900, and are pictured highlighting a very impressive display of tartan in Arbroath.

  • Discovery Day with Professor Petty

    Professor Russell Petty was delighted to have the opportunity to introduce his clinical and research interests in a recent presentation at the University of Dundee Discovery Day lecture series - an annual showcase of the University's newest Professors, award winning teachers and communicators. Professor Petty's talk, entitled "Developing new medicines for cancer - the importance of being precise" allowed him to describe new more personalised approaches for the treatment of oesophageal cancer.

  • Merry Christmas from the Michelin Ladies

    At their recent Christmas Party, the Ladies Section of the Michelin Athletic Club handed over a cheque for £1,200 to Mr Aubrey Wood, Vice-Chairman of the Ninewells Cancer Campaign.   The Ladies accumulated the money by fundraising throughout the year: - having a Cake and Candy Sale, a Bring and Buy evening, a Book Stall, a Charity Bingo Flyers and a Tombola Stall at their annual BBQ in the grounds of the Michelin Athletic Club.
